Grote brand Garagebedrijf van Dam
Lelystad - Een grote brand heeft in de nieuwjaarsnacht garagebedrijf van dam op het gilden hof vernietigd.
aangezien dit bedrijf naast een tankstation/kampeer winkel lag was de brandweer massaal uitgerukt.
In/naast het bedrijf waren enkele ontploffingen te horen.
ook leek het na een tijdje minder te worden maar een grote vuurbal (waarschijnlijk backdraft of flashback) wakkerde het vuur weer aan. inmiddels is de brand onder controlle.
wel is het industrieterrein de komende nacht afgesloten.

Garagebedrijf Van Dam in Lelystad is tijdens nieuwjaarsnacht in vlammen opgegaan. In het verzamelgebouw aan de Wigstraat zaten ook andere bedrijven. Door de brand en de bluswerkzaamheden is ook veel schade toegebracht aan een autopoetsbedrijf en een winkel van een tankstation.

De brandweer rukte met groot materieel uit en wist zo te voorkomen dat de brand oversloeg naar het naastgelegen tankstation. Hoe het vuur heeft kunnen ontstaan is nu nog onduidelijk.
De schade aan het verzamelgebouw is zo groot dat het volgens de brandweer hoogstwaarschijnlijk gesloopt moet worden
